A room that looks still but is quietly alive.
Polished concrete, a silver aluminium chainmail mountain, black track lighting, native florals. Tone’s home on Simpson Street in Northcote is as distinctive as the work done inside it.
The chainmail mountain — many fine strands, one shared range.
The defining element of Tone’s studio is the silver aluminium chainmail curtain that divides the space — a full-height sheet of fine metal mesh woven with a mountain-range landscape, hung on a warm brass rail and lit from above by black track lighting. As the light catches it, the mesh sways and shimmers. It is unmistakably Tone, and it doubles as the brand’s quiet metaphor: many fine strands, one shared range.
Around it: matte-black styling chairs on polished concrete, five round timber discs mounted on the feature wall, native eucalyptus florals, and a warm-lit retail sill stocked with EVY Professional. A monochrome room built for colour work.
